Photos: Week 5: Line and Shape

Photo 1: This one is really colorful, but that's not really what we're talking about. The two big things I notice are obviously Anna and baby Marshal. She creates a diagonal axis with her body across the frame. Marshal sort of just looks like a circle. Then there are prominent rectangles all over, interspersed with a few circles. And yes, she really is asleep! (But no one tell her, or I'll get in trouble)

Photo 2: I wanted to try and play with a photo with all sorts of elements, in this case, verticals, diagonals, and circles. The diagonal created by the rail actually creates a triangle. Otherwise, the verticals are really strong. But the real point of attention here I think is actually the circular clock. This photo I think is the strongest of the three in terms of making the viewer take note of the shapes.

Photo 3: Linear motif: Vertical. That's the objective anyway. I wanted to create a photo with a strong linear motif. Squint your eyes and tell me how I did! I think frame right reads strongly vertical, but the left side feels barren, which hurts the photo I think. The light switch also hurts the photo by distracting the eye.
