Photos 10: Open Prompt

Photo 1: This photo deals with frame division and shape. The cabinet doors and wall leave a lot of empty space on one side of the frame. They eye has nothing to look at, so we are drawn to the round head of Marshal on the other side, where the frame is much busier, and there is contrast. Also, the saturated colors of the hat draw the eye as well. The dang thing is wicked canted though, which wasn't intentional, and kind of looks ridiculous to me.

Photo 2: This photo deals with deep space in a sort of interesting way. First, I feel like the low angle accentuates the textural diffusion, particularly in the grass. Size difference of the cat, Marshal and Anna, and the truck in the BG, all give strong depth cues. But the beams of sun surprisingly work to give a sense of converging line, which didn't expect, but it actually does make the shot more visually intense to me.

Photo 3: Tone is the subject here. The first thing we look at is this beam of light bursting out from behind the clouds. Then we look at the headlights of the cars. The street sign was a mistake, but I took this photo while driving because I was so stunned by this phenomenon of light that was happening (don't tell anyone that I was taking pictures while driving please. I swear it's not a habit).

Photo 4: The main thing here is shape. This image sort of tripped me up at first, so I had to snap it. There is a lot at work here. The tone gives an illusion of depth, but it's a flat garage door. And the space is pretty ambiguous unless you really stare. But the shapes are the main thing. The really rigid square pattern is overlaid with this totally random splash of ovals and circles. This makes the image actually pretty intense to me. The only thing that I think would make it even more intense would be if there were triangles!
