Photos 7: Color

Photo 1: This photo is very colorful. I love the Fall (it's actually my favorite time of year). One reason I love it is because of all the color. The overcast, the saturated oranges, etc. make the whole Autumn time of year is full of strong aromas, and strong colors. This photo illustrates the way a bright and warm object can be the most powerful thing in the frame. I think this is why we like seeing explosions so much. Also, the blue trash can lid sticks out because of its contrast to the rest of the frame, which was a mistake.

Photo 2: This photo is of a flower... it is really yellow! That is my favorite color (that's inconsequential), but besides that, it is warm. Warm colors advance, and cool colors recede. This photo isn't really deep, but the reason the flower "pops" with some depth is because it's so warm compared to its cool background. And red at the center of the photo creates a nice focal point, or point of attention.

Photo 3: This one I took because of the lack of color, except for one thing: the emergency light button. I think it is no mistake that the emergency things in our world are red. Red pulls our attention. Grey does not. The brightest thing frame is the clock in the background, but that is diminished by the vignette. Also, I gave the grey a slight blue tinge so that the red would pop just a little more.
